Of course, I ran the HomeGroup Troubleshooter tool and network tool everywhere along the way with no problems found or fixed. Upon browsing solutions, none work including deleting idstore.sset file and then reboot. ![]() It gets to the "Share with other HomeGroup Members", it says "Windows cannot set up Homegroup on this computer. The "Create a HomeGroup" button was active so I proceeded to create a HomeGroup. When I went to set up a HomeGroup, I then when to the old laptop to retrieve the password and at the HomeGroup window, it showed no HomeGroup on the network. I exited the Join HomeGroup page from the new laptop and when it returned to the HomeGroup window, the old HomeGroup no longer appeared. When I tried to add the new laptop to the HomeGroup, it asked for a password. When I went to set up the HomeGroup, it found the HomeGroup from my other laptop. Recently, I bought a new HP laptop with Windows 10 installed. I set up a HomeGroup that connected the loptop to my printers via a wireless cable modem to a switch. I upgraded my HP laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 back in September 2015. ![]()
